Our communities need transport and connectivity solutions that keep pace with growth.
We are seeking better integration between transport networks across the M9 region, particularly addressing gaps in transport connections across the public transport network, to allow residents, workers and visitors to move efficiently and sustainably across inner Melbourne.
A connected Melbourne is a productive Melbourne. The inner city needs an accessible, integrated, reliable transport system that matches its population, economic and visitor demands.
M9 is specifically calling for:
- Investment in the expansion, frequency and reliability of the bus network across the M9, including improved cross-city connections.
- Commitment to delivering a staged extension of the tram network into Fishermans Bend.
- Support for a metropolitan‑wide commitment to accessible transport.
- Maintained commitment to Melbourne Metro 2 (MM2) as a critical long-term investment supporting inner-city growth and network capacity.
